Cold Hollow Career Center

🅵🅴🅱🆁🆄🅰🆁🆈 is 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 & 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 month. 𝐂𝐇𝐂𝐂 is excited to spotlight one student each school day this month.

𝓗𝓪𝓻𝓵𝓮𝔂 is a Human Services I student. She is planning to become a paramedic and is already gaining experience with Enosburgh Ambulance Service. She says 𝓗𝓾𝓶𝓪𝓷 𝓢𝓮𝓻𝓿𝓲𝓬𝓮𝓼 𝓰𝓲𝓿𝓮𝓼 𝓼𝓽𝓾𝓭𝓮𝓷𝓽𝓼 𝓸𝓹𝓹𝓸𝓻𝓽𝓾𝓷𝓲𝓽𝓲𝓮𝓼 𝓽𝓸 𝓵𝓮𝓪𝓻𝓷 𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝓮𝔁𝓹𝓵𝓸𝓻𝓮 𝓶𝓪𝓷𝔂 𝓹𝓪𝓽𝓱𝓼.

🅵🅴🅱🆁🆄🅰🆁🆈 is 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 & 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 month. 𝐂𝐇𝐂𝐂 is excited to spotlight one student each day while there is school in February. Alix is a student in Business Leadership I. She is exploring opportunities in marketing and animal science. She has a passion for horses and hopes to combine her interests into her future career. She appreciates the focus on personal and professional development at CHCC.

🅵🅴🅱🆁🆄🅰🆁🆈 is 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 & 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 month. 𝐂𝐇𝐂𝐂 is excited to spotlight one student each day while there is school in February.

Nim is a student in PreTech. She is currently exploring opportunities in both the fields of education and mechanics. Hands-on learning combined with field trips, and career exploration have been particularly valuable to Nim.

𝟑𝟏 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 electively signed up to compete this April at the 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬𝐔𝐒𝐀 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞.
🚧This is completely out of their comfort zone but that's what it's all about! You can't get ahead in life taking the easy road...the road that lays in front of you without taking any side roads and detours and yes, hitting a couple of potholes along the way. 🏅The rewards are along the journey.

🅵🅴🅱🆁🆄🅰🆁🆈 is 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 & 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 month. 𝐂𝐇𝐂𝐂 is excited to spotlight one student each day for the next 13 days.

Cassidy Shantie is a student in Human Services II. She credits her time at CHCC with helping her to identify future goals and have work-based learning opportunities to network and gain experience in the field while she is still in high school. She plans to continue her education at CCV and earn a degree in Behavioral Science.

Brayden Dragon is a Business Leadership II student who is planning to attend college in the fall to study Accounting. We asked Brayden what he likes about CHCC. He said, "𝙄 𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙢𝙪𝙘𝙝 𝘾𝙃𝘾𝘾 𝙝𝙖𝙨 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙢𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚 𝙖𝙛𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙨𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡."

The *•.¸♡ 𝐎𝐏𝐄𝐍 𝐃𝐎𝐎𝐑 ﻮ ♡¸.•* is a 𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵-𝘳𝘶𝘯, 𝘯𝘰𝘵-𝘧𝘰𝘳-𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘧𝘪𝘵 𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘦 based at EFHS and is open to all students and staff - all free, all the time!

Nov/Dec Students recognized for various employability skills that stood out above the rest. Great Job!

Last week students from Auto 2 class went to the Montreal Auto Show to check out all of the new and exotic vehicles on display. From Cyber trucks to Corvettes, the students were able to get inside them and see what they had to offer.

Jan. 22nd Auto 1 students travelled to Georgia, VT to visit RPM Racing Engines.

They visited as part of their engine repair unit, and had a chance to see how engines are machined and fixed. Students had the opportunity to try some of the tools and see how an engine dyno worked. A bonus was the friendly pets!

Due to the winter storm, all schools in FNESU will be closed on Monday, January 26th.
